- WEEK 23 Preparing date: 15/ 02/ 2025 Teaching date: 17 / 02 / 2025 FUN TIME 3 (PART 1, 2) A.OBJECTIVES: 1. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: review - Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Correctly pronounce and spell the words: yams, yo-yos, yogurt, zoo, zebra 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love playing game. B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Stages/ Time Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: Game: Guessing game (5’) *Aims: to help ss review some vocabulary that they learnt. *Procedure:: -Have ss to look through 4 pictures (which is closed). T opens each piece - SS listen and play of each picture for ss to guess about game. the pets and then read aloud name of the food. T checks and have ss read all the words. -SS open their book. - Say “Open your book page 46 and look at Fun time 3 – Part 1, 2”
- 2. Practice Activity 1. 1. Circle and match. (27’) Then say. *Aims: to correctly pronounce the words : yams, yo-yos, yogurt, zoo, zebra *Procedure: -Have ss look at the pictures and say -Look at the picture and the words, saying Look and say, say. please -Ss find and circle the -Ask ss to look at the word search, correct words find and circle the correct words in it individually. Then say the words -T models with the first word if necessary. Let’s play: What and where : *Aims: to identify and pronounce the words: yams, yo-yos, yogurt, zoo, zebra *Procedure: -Write five target words on the board. -Ss look and listen. Draw a circle around each word. Tell ss to look at there member the word.
- Explain that when eraser one of the words, ss must try to remember it. -SS do the task. When you eraser the second word , ss must try to remember both words. Continue until all the words have been eraser and ss say all five from memory. -Have time for ss to play game. 3. Homework. - Practice more at home. (3’) - Prepare for the next lesson. -Ss listen. E. Competences: -Write the words: yams, yogurt, zoo, zebu and complete the sentence pattern: + I want some ___________ + Do you like the_________? ->Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. - correctly spell and pronounce the words: yams, yogurt, zoo, zebu 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love food and activities, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. The team plays game stands in a circle. Give flashcard with the first letter written to the first team member. The rest of the team work together to spell the word. Take turn to say a letter, move in a clockwise direction from the first student to the last one. It is done when all ss in a team say the word aloud. A -Ss play game. correctly spelled and pronounce word scores one point. - Model the game with one group. -Have ss play the game in groups one by one. Support and give them help when necessary. -Ss listen. 3. Homework. - Practice more at home. (3’) - Prepare Unit 11 – Lesson 1 E. ADJUSTMENTS (if necessary): Take turn to say a letter, move in a clockwise direction from the first student to the last one. It is done when all ss in a team say the word aloud.
