  1. WEEK 24 Preparing date: 22 / 02/ 2025 Teaching date: 24 / 02 / 2025 Unit 11: At the bus stop Lesson 1 A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - pronounce the sound of the letter U/u in isolation and in the words sun, truck, bus and running correctly. - Sound /U/u/ - Vocabulary: sun, truck, bus and running - Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Know how to practise some sounds. - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Stages/ Time Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: Play game: (5’) *Aims: to create a friendly and active atmosphere in the class to beginning the lesson. *Procedure: - Get pupils to sing the song from -Ss listen and sing

Listen and repeat: *Aims: Ss will be able to pronounce the sound of the letter A/a in isolation and in the words apple, bag, can, hat correctly. *Procedure: -Look at the picture and listen. - Have pupils look at the picture and describe it. - Ask pupils to point to the letter U/u. Have them listen and repeat the sound of the letter U/u - Tell pupils to point to the hat and the word hat, saying Point to the hat and the word “bus”. Remind them of the sound of the letter u in - Ss listen the word bus. Then ask one pupil to point to the bus and to say the word bus in front of the class. Check comprehension. - Put pupils into groups of four and give each group a set of cards. - Get the groups to shuffle the cards and distribute them face down on the table. - Have each player in turn select two cards and turn them face up. 4. Homework. Knowledge: - say the sound of the letter U/u and the words sun, truck, bus, running in a chant. - recognize the words in different situations when listening. - trace the letter U/u and complete the words s__n, tr__ck, b__s, r__nning - Vocabulary: review - Skills: speaking, writing and listening.
